Founded in 2023, Hooked on Healing operates under the umbrella of the Shasta Trinity Fly Fishers, a 501(c)(3) organization. Hooked on Healing was established to address the growing need of veterans in Northern California, many of whom carry both physical and emotional scars from their time of military service. Hooked on Healing’s mission is to support the physical and emotional well-being of service-connected disabled veterans through the fly-fishing experience.

We believe in the healing power of nature and the valuable bonds formed on the water with others who share similar histories. Our programs offer veterans more than just new skills and hobbies; they provide a renewed sense of purpose and connection, both with themselves and through ongoing community engagement opportunities. Through personalized fly-fishing instruction, guided trips, weekend outings, and supportive community involvement, we aim to address the invisible wounds of service and foster a lifelong journey of resilience, recovery, and giving back.
